I initially removed the jib cars from the side. I was able to access all of the hardware from the shroud plate access port. You have to reach pretty far back for the last 2 nutes. A long sleeve shirt is recommended as I had the fiberglass itch for a couple days.

I used a jig saw to cut out for a 5" access port below the seat. I went mid line to wear the tracks had been positioned on the rail. I just traced around the outer ring.

Digging out the foam under the seat was a bit of a pain. So many have talked about wet loose foam in their Chryslers. I found the foam to be dry. I used an old ice cream scoop to dig out the foam under the seat to allow enough access to mount the jib tracks.

I lined up the track. Slight angle inward towards the bow. I really was not sure which was the best way, but had seen many of the Buccs at BNAC with them in this position. Marked the mounting holes and drilled them out.

Screwed the Jib tracks into place using wood as a backing inder the seat. The seat itself does not have much fiberglass under the seat, so I wanted some backing so I won't tear out.

The old cars and tracks looked good, but the angle of the cars made the jib sheet hard to cleat, and uncleat under anything more than a breeze.

In the Spring of 2007 I bought new cars and tracks from Nickels Boat works. They were a bit pricey, but ended up being worth it. I removed the old tracks and returned them to the rails above the seat. Figured I would keep the tracks there incase I wanted to cruise with some people, and not have them sitting on the jib cars on the seat.

Out with the old, and in with the new. I did have to drill a couple new holes in the seat to get everything to line up. Filled the old hole with gel coat.

I used a piece of treated lumber for the backing under the seat. I've since been told that is not a good idea. So this summer I replaced the backing with cutting board material. (Walmart sailors) This was Dave B's idea. Thanks
